 Employers Direct Announces Participation in Workers’ Comp Committee AGOURA HILLS, CA – July 19, 2006 – Employers Direct Insurance Company, California’s only investor-owned direct writer of workers’ compensation insurance, announced today that Mark Webb, Vice President of Governmental Affairs, will participate as a member of the California CompScope Multistate Workers’ Compensation Study Advisory Committee. Richard Victor, Executive Director of the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute, explained, “The committee is designed to help guide the development of the Workers’ Compensation studies called CompScope. These studies are designed to help monitor the evolution of workers’ comp systems within a state across time and make comparisons between participating states. California has been a part of these studies since they began in 1998.
